It's Potty Time!

Audrey has been showing more and more interest in potty training so I am slowly introducing it. I don't want to frustrate either one of us and set too high expectations. I tried a weekend of let's run around naked and see if we can "catch" any action before it starts. Results were marginal. And then it turned cold. And I worked 6 out of 8 nights so we'll try again next week.
She really does have a potty. An Elmo potty! But she wanted to play in the box. And of course, right after I took this picture, she peed in the box. At least it wasn't the floor and it sort of looks like a place to potty.

After you potty, you give Elmo a high five and he praises you for using the potty. Audrey like giving him high fives for all occasions.

She's actually getting too big for the bike but she almost has the coordination to push herself along throughout the house.

Another month has passed and I am amazed how much Audrey has learned. Thankfully I have kept track of new words and milestones by writing them down as soon as it happens so I don't forget. And now I look at my list I am in shock! At 19 months we have 30+ words and a few phrases!
New words: hug, potty, eye, sit, bye, hawk (Jayhawk), bock, happy, Amen, please, down and up. Up can mean down, up or even open. Every bug that Audrey sees is now a bee to her. And even though you can barely see her bee sting from over 2 weeks ago, she grabs her arm at least once a day and says 'bee, ow'.
New phrases: Who is it? and What is this?
Also, when you say I love you, she responds with, I know.
She recognizes the Google logo on the web browser and says Google.

Audrey raises her arms and does the Touchdown motion. Unfortunately, the Chiefs have not given us many opportunities to practice.
Audrey has cut all four of her eye teeth.
We're getting better with the spoon every day.

She has learned many body parts over the last couple of months and can point to: hair, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, cheek, belly, hands, knee, feet, and toes.
Coming up next: Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence and Halloween...
