Audrey's First Christmas

Fun was had by all on Christmas Eve. Jackson just couldn't wait to see his gifts!
Zoey and Travis enjoyed watching everyone else open their gifts.

Okay, so these are out of order! This is Audrey's Santa present, a cruise and crawler. It plays music, lights up, and has gadgets and balls to play with.

She loves pulling up to it and "dancing" to the music. It's so funny!

What is it?!

Slowly ripping the paper, and trying to eat it...

Grandma got me some cool blocks!

One of the best gifts ever! My First KU Words Book!

Aunt Bluejeans gave her this hat and scarf. Came in handy on Christmas since is was VERY cold!

Winter Wonderland

I can't help but take her picture while she's sleeping. It's such a precious sight.

My normal 20 minute commute home from work in the mornings took me an hour and 20 minutes yesterday, thanks to the 3-4 inches of snow falling at rush hour. I was so tired!

Steve collected a bowl of snow for Audrey to play with. She stuck her hand in and immediately started to shiver her entire body. It was hilarious! Needless to say, she was not interested in the bowl anymore. :)

Daddy Takes Good Photos Too

Steve took these one morning a couple of weeks ago. I thought they were nice and artistic with the sunlight coming in.

On a completely different note... I am officially done breastfeeding. Audrey began to wean herself about a month ago and then stopped altogether a couple of weeks ago. I have been pumping at home and work but my milk supply has all but dried up. So I decided to be done. I was kind of sad at first but now I am okay with it. I feel like I did the best I could for as long as I could, and it was her decision to wean. I have enough breastmilk stored in the freezer for another month and then we'll only have to use formula for 2 months until her first birthday. So... goodbye breast pump! May we see each other again soon!

Her red outfit says : I'm on Santa's nice list
And her pink hat says Baby's First Christmas.

9 month check-up

Audrey had her 9 month check-up today. She showed off all her tricks to the doctor, it was quite cute. She gained nearly 4 pounds and grew almost 2 inches in just 3 months! She is now 17 pounds and 4 ounces (up to the 25th percentile finally!) and 27 and 5/8 inches (smack dab in the middle of the charts). She's been eating more and more table food lately; grilled cheese, mashed potatoes, bananas, peeled grapes. She continues to dislike macaroni and cheese. Her newest achievement is free standing for a few seconds. She even did it for Grandma, Papa and Aunt Angi this evening. We also saw Santa tonight. Audrey was great and wasn't scared a bit. She did like to pull on his beard though! I hope she told him she wanted the Jungle Cruise and Crawler! Zoey and Jackson enjoyed the visit too. I think Mom and Angi got some great pics. I used the video camera and one of these days I'll figure out how to get video on here! I have a lot of days off around Christmas and New Years, so we'll see if I can figure it out by then...

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Audrey is enjoying some of her Christmas gifts a little early.
Here is the car that Papa Curtis gave her.

Can't wait for the teen years when she'll really be obsessed with the phone!

We were going to wait to give the crocodile xylophone to her for Christmas, but she was having so much fun with it at church we decided to let her have it early.

She comes up with some lovely music!

All I Want for Christmas...

Audrey woke up Thanksgiving morning with two new teeth! She now has her front two teeth. We think she might be getting some more in because she continues to drool and bite everything in sight! She even bit my shoulder the other night and it hurt now that she has teeth on top and bottom! We had a wonderful weekend with the family. Papa Curtis gave his Christmas gifts to the great grandkids last night. Audrey got a riding car. She really enjoys riding and pushing it. I also got my Christmas present early. Steve went to Walmart at 4 am on Black Friday and got a digital camcorder. Once I figure out how to transfer the images onto the computer I'll post some pictures. I have a few days off this week so I should have time to mess around with it. I love it! Audrey is having her 9 month/Christmas card photos taken this week. I can't believe we're into December already!
